Love Embraces All

I was hired by Korg synthesizers to create a demo for the amazing Korg Oasys - Open Architecture Synthesis Studio - prior to its release. The keyboard is the first keyboard that has interested me since my work on the Korg Wavestation in the early 1990's. Because it is using a software configurable Linux platform, it permits any form of synthesis that can be thought of, and blending these together without limitation. If ever there was a synthesizer that could service serious players and serious synthesists, this is it.

At a time when almost all synthesis production has moved over to software plug-ins in sequencing programs - ala Logic, etc. - it is unusual for a company to build a musical instrument that is of such high excellence. I am proud to be associated with this instrument, and this company. It takes a lot of guts to make something like this, and Korg stepped up to the plate in a way no other synth manufacturer has ever done. Bravo!

For the project, it was important to demonstrate the sonic quality of the instrument, simultaneously using different synthesis engines, and (up to 16 track) audio recording functions. For this, I asked my friends from the Phenix Horns (Earth, Wind & Fire horn section) and the vocalists from the Al McKay Allstars to assist in a recording of my song, "Love Embraces All."
